FS Nollie Big Spin Trick Tip

Alrighty, fs nollie big spins are boss, especially with a pivot. I hope you know what it is, if you don't then i'll explain. You do a fs nollie 360 pop shuv while doing a fs body varial in the same direction. If you are goofy, then you'll be spinning to the right. If regular, then you'll be spinning to the left. And if you do the pop shuv frontside, but you do a backside body varial, then you've just shown me up and i give you props for that.

Quick Note

Some people do this trick by doing a nollie pop shuv, catching it and then doing a 180. Unfortunately you won't learn that here, you'll be learning the easy way. Okee dokee? oh and you might need to know nollie 360 pops before you do this...

Stance

So you will want your front foot on the position you would use for a nollie 360 pop. I have mine more in the middle of the nose but a little closer to the heelflip direction. and your back foot should be set up between the middle and the back bolts.

Doing It

1. Roll until you're at a comfortable speed. Bend your knees and imagine doing a fs nollie shuv. You might want to wind up a bit if your nervous about not getting enough spin.

2. Pop the Nollie Shuv real hard so that you get it high and with enough spin. Do this with a flick so that it'll produce more spin. Don't do the body varial yet though, be patient padewans lol

3. As soon as you pop that biatch you should suck up your knees and do a body varial. Remember to keep the board beneath you.

4. Keep eyeballing your board as your spinning and as soon as you see it do a 360, extend your legs and catch it. Keep your legs loose while doing this cause if you land with stiff legs, it'll look really awkward and you'll lose style points. IF YOU WANT A PIVOT Watch the board spin 270 and catch it with your regular leading foot a little bit at the nose. Lean towards that foot and pivot. Now you've got some style.

5. Roll away and don't tic tac.

So i hope that helped y'all out with fs nollie big spins. If not then I'm sorry i can't communicate how to do them. One thing I learned about this trick is that you shouldn't prioritize spinning the board cause if you do, then most likely the board will just fly down the street because you forced it.

Problems:

Q: The board won't spin the whole way!
A: Fiddle around with the position of your front foot a bit until you can pop it high while spinning it well. Or if you're already comfortable with this position, don't pop the board with your leg, use your ankle to flick it. Trust me it works.

Q: I keep landing 270 by accident!
A: Try to add the pivot to it, it'll look MUCH better. But if that's not your thing, then as i said, POP THE BOARD HARDER.

Q: My board spins, but it's rolling on the ground more than spinning in the air!
A: Do i have to repeat myself again? One last time, POP IT HARDER BITCH.
